Born to lead?

The European Graduate Programme

Preparing future leaders for tomorrow’s challenges…

Do you have what it takes?

This is a challenging programme: and it’s meant to be that way! You’ll face real, complex assignments; you will be in another country and out of your comfort zone. But it’s rewarding: you’ll meet inspiring people and learn more about other cultures – and even yourself. It’s a life experience you’ll never forget. You’ll have to adapt, stay on top and believe in yourself. But do that and you’ll be ready to lead at Linde. And of course, we’re behind you every step of the way.

What lies ahead for you?

During the 20-month programme you’ll complete three work assignments in three core business areas: Operations, Sales & Marketing and Supply. You’ll stay in your home country for the first assignment (8months) and travel to two other European locations for the others (6 months each). Once you have finished the programme, we’ll support in finding a position best suited to your strengths.

Getting the most out of the experience

  • Challenge yourself: push your own boundaries as you face demanding business assignments
  • See the world: get to know new cultures, traditions and practices by working abroad
  • Hone your skills: mentoring and individually tailored training will bring out your best
  • Make connections: connect with other graduates and employees to establish a network for the future
  • Taste the future: the first 20 months is just the beginning – a leading career awaits you afterwards

How to apply

The application period for the next programme opens by the end of 2018 and the programme will start in October 2019. It may seem a long way but time flies so start thinking about your application now.

Your path to selection

Once the application period closes, our work begins! We devote our time and attention to picking the best candidates. Here’s how we do it:

Step 1: We start from the top!
We screen all applications carefully to select you for the next stage, by assessing your fit to the programme.

Step 2: Virtual testing begins
If successful, you’ll be invited to an online test. The goal? To validate your fit.

Step 3: Meeting face-to-face
Phone, videoconference or an interview in person gives you the chance to ask questions and learn more about us.

Step 4: The final hurdle
If successful up until now, you will get invited to an Assessment Centre in Munich to meet other candidates and us – and of course, the relevant decision makers will be there.
