PT. BOC Gases Indonesia (BOCGI) today announced its rebrand as PT. Linde Indonesia. PT. Linde Indonesia is the leading industrial gas supplier in Indonesia since 1971, and serves customers in the steel, metals, food and beverage, automotive, healthcare, chemical, glass.
In September 2006, Linde AG acquired The BOC Group to form The Linde Group, a world leading gases and engineering company with almost 48,000 employees, working in more than 100 countries worldwide.
The Linde Group, headquartered in Munich, Germany, has a history of over 130 years built on a heritage of innovation with a strong focus on technology. Our company founder Prof. Carl von Linde invented refrigeration technology and pioneered the process for air separation laying the foundation for the gases business as we know it today.
PT. Linde Indonesia brings to the Indonesian market a wide range of leading technologies, proprietary applications and innovative solutions developed by The Linde Group.
Since 2006, Linde has invested a total of EUR 45 million [IDR 550 billion] in Indonesia, including:
- a new main air compressor installation in 2008 to improve the plant reliability and efficiency in its Gresik air separation plant, and to provide more reliable utility support for the copper production in Indonesia.
- a new gas engine installation in its Gresik facility in 2009 which increased the power plant capacity to 57 MW. The additional power supports the growing demand in the copper production.
- a new nitrogen plant in Cikarang, West Java, in 2010 aimed at supporting the tyre production industry in the area.

Beginning this month the Company’s new logo will make its appearance on all communication materials, packaging and product containers. The conversion period is expected to last several months.
